Last month I launched this section, the favorites of the month that you liked. So I'm repeating the experience on the blog and in video. Each month I offer you an anthology of my discoveries.
I offer you an eclectic list of favorites that range from skin care, to literary works, to makeup and the discovery of two YouTubers that I like to follow on a daily basis.
My favorite video of the month of May
Makeup Favorites: Lisa Eldridge's Foundation
In the make-up category, I fell in love with the foundation. Lisa Eldridge.
Lisa Eldridge is one of the greatest makeup artists in the world. She has worked with the biggest brands and made up all the stars at all the prestigious events. She is publishing her first book, entitled The story of Make up in 2015. It became a best seller and was translated into 9 languages.
Not content with being the creative director of Lancôme, she moved to London and created her own make-up brand in her name.
On his YouTube channel, Lisa shares her knowledge and offers makeup tutorials, her beauty channel is one of the most popular on this network.
She decides, unusually, to donate 100% of her advertising revenue, about $100,000, to charities that focus on women's education and health.
It is no coincidence that the biggest magazines have voted its products the best range of revolutionary products in 2021.

If you follow me, you know my taste for foundations. So I wanted to test hers and I'm not disappointed, far from it!

Glow Cream with Vitamin C
Its composition of Vitamin C and lupine peptides is interesting. I really liked its melting texture and its very pleasant scent. I have a little trouble telling you if this cream has worked miracles on my skin because I have set up a very particular skincare routine that I find very effective. An evening routine and a morning routine. The Glow cream is part of it. My skin has really changed but I spend a lot of time in the evening and morning taking care of it and I nourish it with multiple ingredients that have helped to restore its tone and radiance.

Favorite books
Without context the latest opus of Joel Dickers. I have a real love for this author of detective novels. Crime novels written like novels worthy of the greatest authors, with a mastery of language and an incomparable style.
The Alaska Sanders Affair is in the same vein as the previous novels, exciting and exhilarating.
If you don't know this author, I advise you to start with The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair which is also the common thread of this new novel.
We find the writer Marcus Goldman who collaborates with Sergeant Perry Gahalowood on a new case. The murder of a young woman in a peaceful town in New Hampshire.
Like all of Joel Dickers' books, it's not just about a murder but about the lives of a gallery of characters. Personal and intimate stories that mix with sordid acts.
The characters are endearing, the plot is incredible and the outcome breathtaking.
Once a fan, always a fan, I am a die-hard fan of Joel Dickers, for me the greatest contemporary author of detective novels.
If you don't know this author, you're in luck! Because you're going to be able to enjoy his works.
My advice: start with the first one because they are all more or less correlated.

Youtube Favorites
Every month I invite you to discover a YouTuber that I like. I am passionate about this network and I discover gems there.
As I've already told you, you can find everything on YouTube. From a cooking recipe to assembling a piece of furniture, a knitting or sewing tutorial, travel stories, slices of life.
It's a magical place where you can while away hours instead of watching insipid and increasingly harmful TV programs.
Youtubers of the month
Florence Moneron
The first one is very dear to my heart, because I have been a loyal reader since the beginning. Florence is a rare person. Delicate, sensitive, sincere (a quality so rare on social networks!)
Her videos are funny, imaginative, and she's in real life. It's no offense to her to say that she doesn't edit, she admits it herself. But precisely this “no assembly” gives, in my opinion, added value to his videos.
She speaks to the camera as she would speak to a girlfriend in real life. Natural, without fuss, she can go from a make-up tutorial to a return from her shopping trips or talk to us about her relationship problems with an unmatched tone.
She has a particular sense of humor, an intelligent and subtle self-mockery.
His literary chronicles are perfect and very attractive.
Under the cover of humor we sense a sensitive, very human, courageous person.
Florence suffered, she speaks to us about her pain with her particular words and this inimitable tone.
Far from the stereotypical and formatted YouTubers, Florence is authentic and real.
A little anecdote: when I listen to videos, and Chéri passes by the room, he recognizes Florence's voice and sits down next to me to listen to her! She is the only person who retains his interest among my wanderings on YouTube.

I met Delphine thanks to the YouTube algorithm that suggested her videos to me. And I immediately connected with what this forty-something woman is saying, who is comfortable in her own skin.
As Florence is atypical, the tone of her videos is different. If she presents products, she does so with a particular humor. Without ostentation and with a lot of perspective and sincerity.
Delphine doesn't take herself seriously and that's what makes her charming. She always has a special touch of humor whether she's talking about a TV series or buying an outfit.
I like the tone of her videos, again different from everything that is usually done. Delphine is one of those YouTubers that we want to meet in real life. I'm thinking of contacting her this summer if I go to Brittany!
Interior decoration favorites
I had a real crush on the site Distribute Soaps when I was finalizing the decoration of my kitchen.
I am very satisfied with the two very stylish dispensers that I ordered. Both in terms of their appearance and their practicality.
