After the guest room and the office, I wanted to give my bedroom a different look.
This room, recently repainted, didn't really have any style, a banal duvet cover, a chest of drawers, it was functional but not really decorated. And above all the walls were bare.
I wanted to give it a little bohemian side but with a soft decoration.
Frames on the wall
As I wanted to stay in the neutral tones that I like and my own paintings are very colorful and therefore unusable in this room, I turned to the site Posterlounge.
This site offers eclectic collections and His specialty is printing high end of photos, illustrations and reproductions of works of art. Painters, graphic designers and photographers rub shoulders there with charm.

My choice
I have always loved contemporary art, so when I saw that the site offered reproductions of many artistes, I headed to this particular section.
My choice fell on three large wooden frames. All three being reproductions of the artist Moira Hershey.
The posters are framed and placed under an acrylic glass pane.
THE motifs pastels, s'harmonize with the taupe color of the wall. And the touch of blue breaks the overly soft side of the whole thing.
I am very happy with the result, with the discovery of this artist. The tones of the canvases blend perfectly with the taupe and white tones of this piece.
No pretty room without bed linen
The main element of a bedroom being the bed, I carefully chose the linen that would adorn it.
I have always loved beautiful bed linen. I collect duvet covers in different materials. I had already mentioned it in this article.
I particularly liked linen, but in use, this material is not at all practical.
Since we change our sheets and duvet covers often, this involves washing and ironing.
So, not wanting to spend two hours ironing a linen duvet cover anymore, I decided to change and opted for cotton percale.
I spent a long time looking for a set that was pretty, but above all practical and comfortable.
My cotton percale set from The white company.
Why cotton percale? For its appearance, its softness, and its maintenance.
Still to stay in the tones that I like, and particularly white, I chose a duvet cover set with religious pleats finish.
I liked the finesse of the fabric, the details of the religious flat pleats on the pillowcases and on part of the cover.
A little tip, if you have to choose bed linen, look at the number of weave threads. Because the tighter the weave, the better quality your linen will be. For my duvet I chose a very tight weave which gives an excellent drape to the whole.
To complete the set, I also chose a fitted sheet and two pillowcases extra pillows, which I took in a taupe color, to perfect the contrast.
Decoration side
For the renovation of this room I only invested in painting the walls and bed linen. The rest was scattered around the house.
I really like to “rotate” objects in my home. It’s all the easier since my whole house is in the same tones.
Decorative objects
The rest of my decor consists of a chest of drawers that I customized by repainting it white. An Art Deco oil lamp that comes to me from my family.
To give the whole thing a bohemian and warm feel, but without overloading the room too much, I kept my miller's ladder from Maison du Monde, I threw a blanket and a string of lights on it that I like to turn on in the evening. I find that these little lights allow for relaxation and give a warm feel to the whole decor.
A few baskets where I store pajamas and indoor jackets for cocooning, cushions, one or two candles and always a book on my bedside table.
The final rendering of this room corresponds well to what I imagined. Bathed in light during the day, lightly lit in the evening, it will perfectly participate in essential moments of relaxation.
I'll let you give me your opinion, you know that I particularly like our exchanges. And if you want you can find all my bedroom inspirations on my Pinterest account.
